Our Editorial Team
The Princeton Journal of Pre-Collegiate Research (PJPCR) is supported by an accomplished Editorial Board comprising scholars, researchers, and educators from diverse academic backgrounds. Our board members serve in an advisory and editorial capacity, contributing their expertise to help ensure that PJPCR maintains rigorous academic standards while providing a supportive platform for emerging student researchers.
Editorial Board members play an important role in advancing our mission: to provide pre-collegiate scholars with the opportunity to share their research through a professional, peer-reviewed academic journal and to encourage meaningful participation in scholarly research at an early stage.
Daniel Lane

Daniel is a current DPhil candidate in Politics at the University of Oxford and a College Lecturer at Hertford College. He completed an MPhil in European Politics and Society at Oxford. Before his MPhil, Daniel graduated with honours in Political Science and Public Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where he also completed two years of a Law degree. He has additionally worked for the Catalan Government in Vienna, Austria. His research interests include coalition politics, political behaviour, party politics, and populism in Southern Europe. Daniel speaks English, Catalan, Spanish, and French.
Marah Chibwana

Marah is a medical doctor, Rhodes Scholar, and DPhil candidate in Molecular and Cellular Medicine at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology at Oxford. Her research focuses on characterising neutrophil populations within the joint during arthritis. After completing medical training in Malawi, Marah joined the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme, where she led COVID-19 projects. She later completed an MSc in Integrated Immunology at Oxford. Marah is passionate about translating basic medical science into therapeutics and policy, with a focus on reducing disease burden across Africa.
Pramit Saha

Pramit is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and an active member of the Oxford Biomedical Image Analysis research cluster. His research focuses on Agentic AI, Federated Learning, and Multimodal Learning for Computer Vision and Medical Image Analysis. After completing a master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering as a MITACS Globalink Fellow at UBC, Pramit earned his PhD at Oxford while serving as a lead tutor. He is passionate about advancing AI for healthcare applications, with a focus on improving patient diagnostics.
Valentina Antonaccio

Valentina Antonaccio is a DPhil candidate at the School of Geography and the Environment, affiliated with the Institute of New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School, the Smith School of Enterprise and Environment, and Vienna's Complexity Science Hub. Her research explores climate change, migration, and public policy using econometrics, machine learning, and computational analysis. Valentina holds an MPhil from the Tinbergen Institute, an MSc from Universidad de Montevideo, and a bachelor's from Universidad de la República. She previously worked at the World Bank and as an operations researcher in tech.
Edward Jones

Institute of Classical Studies (School of Advanced Study, University of London)
Edward Jones is a dedicated historian of ancient Greece who earned his MPhil at OSGA and St Antony’s College, Oxford and completed his DPhil in Ancient History at Oxford in 2024. His research explores Classical Athens by combining social, cultural, and political history with both textual and material evidence. He has published widely on topics including ancient administration, inscribed communication, as well as materiality and identity across diverse historical frameworks.
Mirabai Venkatesh

Mirabai Venkatesh is a highly dedicated doctoral PhD candidate currently pursuing international relations at the renowned University of Oxford. She previously earned her master's degree in international affairs at the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, and has published extensive research on diverse topics including military emissions, fortress conservation, and US territorial administration. Her current academic research focuses on complex questions of national sovereignty, global governance, and decolonization, with a primary geographic emphasis on historical island territories across the globe.
Markus Markert

Dr Markus Markert is an Education Strategist and co-founder of Anglo-German Education Ltd. He read Politics and International Relations at Warwick before completing his MPhil and DPhil at Oxford. His doctoral research analyzed how non-state actors and informal networks shape international foreign policy. Spanning academia, consultancy, and leadership, he has advised global universities, political bodies, and cultural institutions. An advocate of the German dual studies model, he strongly promotes deep industry integration within modern higher education. At the Mayfair Programme, he fosters intellectual excellence, character formation, and practical mastery to prepare future leaders.
Aleksandra Ziolkowska

University of St. Andrew's
Aleksandra is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of St. Andrew's, specialising in theoretical quantum physics with a focus on open quantum systems and simulation platforms. Prior to St. Andrew's, she completed her DPhil in Theoretical Physics at Oxford, where she served as a Lecturer at Hertford College. She has extensive teaching experience, tutoring undergraduate and graduate courses while supervising research projects spanning high school to master’s level. An advocate of German dual study models, she strongly promotes industry integration within higher education. Outside of physics, she is an avid reader who enjoys both rich novels and diverse non-fiction.
Lisa J. K. Zillig

Lisa is a final year DPhil student in Interdisciplinary Bioscience at Oxford's Department of Biology, researching Synthetic Metabolic Pathways in Plants. Her work focuses on enhancing photosynthesis and carbon fixation to develop critical biotechnology tools aimed at improving global food security. Prior to her doctoral studies, Lisa completed both her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biology at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. Her academic journey includes international research visits to Newcastle University in Australia, the University of Cambridge in the UK, and North-West University in South Africa.
