Marcus is an American economist, researcher, and editor-in-chief of the Princeton Journal of Pre-Collegiate Research (PJPCR). His research interests span economics, data science, machine learning, and computational social science, with a focus on financial markets, behavioral economics, and quantitative research

Chen obtained a bachelor's degree in economics and applied mathematics at Princeton University. He subsequently pursued graduate research in economics and computational social science, focusing on econometrics, causal inference, statistical modeling, and the application of machine learning to economic research.

Chen's research focuses on applying computational and statistical methods to questions involving financial markets, economic behavior, and decision-making. His work includes research in econometric modeling, financial data analysis, natural language processing, and machine learning, with an emphasis on using large-scale datasets to study complex economic and social systems.

Alongside his research, Chen has been involved in academic editing and scholarly communication. As Editor-in-Chief of the Princeton Journal of Pre-Collegiate Research, he oversees the journal's editorial direction, research standards, and peer-review process, with a particular focus on methodological rigor, research integrity, reproducibility, and supporting emerging researchers.
