To Investigate Variation Order Effects on Building Construction Projects - Review

Throughout the world, in construction industry due to complex nature of projects variations are common. This study investigates variation order effects on public building construction projects using questionnaire surveys, desk studies, and interviews. Fifteen variation order effects were identified, and analysis using relative index method revealed that delay in work schedule, project cost increase, contractor additional payments, progress effects, and overhead expenses increase are the main impacts on public buildings.
