Abstract

Saving is an essential instrument for capital accumulation and formation which enhances economic growth and development. This study examined saving habits among youngsters in the IT industry, focusing on their investment behavior, factors influencing savings and expenditure, and attitudes toward various savings schemes. The findings reveal significant gaps between awareness of investment opportunities and actual investment practices among young IT professionals. The study comprised 30 respondents predominantly aged 20-25 years, with 83.33% male and 16.67% female respondents. While 80% of employees demonstrated knowledge about industrial securities, only 8% actively invested in such instruments. The research highlights the need for improved financial literacy programs tailored to young professionals, addressing both theoretical understanding and practical investment strategies.
