Abstract

Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) are among the most common birth defects and a significant cause of child mortality. This research investigates the relation between long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and the incidence of CHD in offspring by analyzing GWAS Catalog data to identify and prioritize lncRNA variants associated with CHD. The findings highlight multiple lncRNA as candidates and discuss their potential regulatory interactions with genes involved in cardiac morphogenesis. The research points to lncRNA as possible biomarkers and therapeutic targets, providing a foundational resource for future experimental validation and emphasizing the importance of continued investigation in this emerging field.
