Abstract
Composites materials are materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties which remain separate and distinct within the finished structure. Metal matrix composites are gaining extensive approval for automobile, aerospace, agriculture farm machinery and many other industrial applications because of their essential properties such as high strength, low density, and good wear resistance compared to other metals. This comprehensive review examines different combinations of composites and how they affect the properties of different alloys of aluminium, with emphasis on stir casting as the primary manufacturing technique. The investigation shows that monolithic materials are increasingly replaced by metal matrix composites for better performance and longer life.
