Abstract
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a malignant cancer of the blood and bone marrow characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of immature lymphoid cells. Current treatments include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and stem cell transplantation. Recent developments in biotechnology have introduced CAR-T therapy, which modifies a patient's own T-cells to specifically recognize and destroy leukemia cells. This paper reviews scientific literature comparing chemotherapy and CAR-T therapy, analyzing remission rates, relapse rates, treatment toxicity, and treatment cost. Clinical trials demonstrate that chemotherapy achieves remission in most newly diagnosed patients, while CAR-T therapy produces remission rates above 80% in patients with relapsed or treatment-resistant ALL.
