Abstract
This research analyzes whether male or female students are more agile in online English learning during Covid-19 using Gravett and Caldwell (2016) theory of agility. The study employed descriptive quantitative methodology with a sample of 150 Grade 9 students (75 male, 75 female) from SMP Negeri 2 Tanah Jawa who used Google Classroom for online learning. Four types of agility were measured: mental agility, people agility, change agility, and result agility. Results showed that female students achieved a total score of 6831 compared to male students' 6798. However, 27.33% of male students demonstrated high-level agility compared to 26% of female students. The findings suggest minimal gender differences in overall agility, though males showed slightly higher percentages at the high-agility level. Mental agility was demonstrated through comfort with complexity and problem-solving; people agility through interpersonal effectiveness; change agility through adaptability to rapid change; and result agility through resourcefulness in delivering outcomes in novel situations.
