ACTION NAMING IN COORGI-ENGLISH BILINGUALS

This study investigates action naming in Coorgi-English bilingual children aged 4-16 years to examine the relationship between bilingualism and cognitive development. Sixty participants were presented with 40 action pictures under blocked language and mixed language conditions. Results showed bilingual superiority only for children with high bilingualism proficiency. Action naming performance varied by age group and language condition, with blocked English-to-Coorgi showing better performance than mixed conditions in younger and older groups.
