Abstract
In school education psychology, there is a clear positioning that underlies the internal epistemology of educational psychology and its disciplinary coordinates. This involves a series of academic and professional activities linked to educational psychology, oriented towards research, conceptual elaboration, intervention programs, and implementation. The discipline has evolved from viewing psychology as simply applied to education toward conceiving educational psychology as a bridge discipline with its own theoretical basis. Educational psychologists must recognize education as a social practice and address fundamental questions about educational purposes, human development, social equity, and quality in education.
