Abstract

Advancing world requires computer systems that are operated beyond hand-based or touch-based controls. Physiological computing is an emerging technology that senses bioelectrical, biomechanical, biophysical, or biochemical signals from the human nervous system and decodes them into computer-understandable instructions. This paper discusses the definition of physiological computing, its operational mechanisms, current applications in medical sciences, and future directions for this transformative technology.
