Abstract
This study examined the relationship between gender diversity and employee performance of hotels in Port Harcourt using a cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected from 234 employees across ten selected hotels through structured questionnaires. Spearman's Rank Order Correlation Statistics were employed to test three hypotheses. Results revealed significant positive relationships between gender diversity and product quality (r=0.596, p<0.001), improved productivity (r=0.444, p<0.001), and innovativeness (r=0.204, p=0.004). The study concludes that gender diversity significantly enhances employee performance across multiple dimensions and recommends that hotels implement comprehensive diversity policies and strategies to eliminate discrimination and support diverse workforces.
