Abstract
Natural lighting is crucial for building efficiency, energy savings, and occupant comfort. This research examines factors influencing daylighting performance in library and literacy centres, which serve as vital educational and social spaces. The study identifies and analyzes key variables affecting daylight availability and performance through a comprehensive literature review, focusing on building orientation, window types, glass specifications, and solar position. Results indicate that interior structure, window sizes, and surface finishes are critical for daylight-efficient design in library and literacy facilities.
