Abstract

Textile and apparel manufacturing are vital elements of the Egyptian economy. This study develops effective marketing and export strategies for small and medium textile and apparel companies to leverage COMESA and CFTA agreements. Using case study methodology with qualitative data from World Trading Company and Delta Group, the research identifies customized strategies including industrial buyer tours, buying house activities, international compliance, vertical integration, and relationship management. The study emphasizes that Egypt possesses competitive advantages in low labor costs and favorable trade agreements, positioning it as a potential manufacturing hub for African textile exports. Key findings show that marketing strategy emphasis remains low in case companies despite significant market opportunities, and improved competitiveness requires dedicated marketing capabilities and strategic positioning in global supply chains.
