Dynamics and Impact of Romance or Love Relationship in Workplace: Case Study in Government Institutions

Romance in the workplace is an inevitable phenomenon that produces both positive and negative dynamics and impacts affecting not only those involved but also surrounding colleagues. This qualitative research examines employees and HR heads in a government ministry to understand workplace romance dynamics and organizational policy implications. Results indicate that romance is a human right that should not be prohibited unless it violates social norms of decency, can enhance work motivation but may create problems when relationships end or involve power imbalances.
