Abstract
Wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSN) face significant challenges in designing efficient routing protocols that balance high data rates with strict power constraints. Traditional routing protocols like AODV and ETX fail to account for node battery status during route selection, leading to increased congestion, packet loss, and energy consumption. This paper presents a novel algorithm that integrates both remaining power and transmission rate metrics to ensure reliable route selection and extend network lifetime in WMSNs.
