Abstract
Climate change has become one of the most pressing issues in the world, with Bangladesh emerging as one of the most vulnerable nations to its impacts. The blue economy, an emerging and crucial economic sector for Bangladesh, faces significant threats from climate-related challenges including ocean warming, sea level rise, coastal erosion, ocean acidification, and biodiversity loss. This study examines the multidimensional impacts of climate change on Bangladesh's blue economy and recommends mitigation and adaptation strategies including climate-resilient policies, infrastructure investments, capacity building, renewable energy practices, and ecosystem conservation to ensure sustainable development and achievement of SDG-14.
