Abstract

Lady health workers in district Sheikhupura face significant challenges including excessive workload, stress, financial difficulties, and social stigma. This study of 263 LHWs examined working conditions, problems encountered, and potential solutions. Key findings revealed that most LHWs experience high stress levels due to overwork, inadequate compensation relative to expenses, lack of societal respect despite field commitment, and difficulty balancing work with family responsibilities. Many face harassment based on religion and caste, and dissatisfaction with administrative responses to complaints. The research analyzed daily life information, demographic data, and problem prevalence, suggesting comprehensive solutions for improving LHW working conditions and support systems.
